MPs 2030 – Empowered for Civic Engagement
Participating actively in civil society in Germany
MPs 2030 – Empowered for Civic Engagement: This is a program for young people who have recently come to Germany. It supports them in getting involved in civic life and participating actively in civil society. It also connects them to people who share the same goal.
Participants learn how civil society in Germany works and how they can get involved themselves, how they can influence decisions and drive social change. In the framework of the six-months seminar program, they gain relevant knowledge, develop necessary skills and build useful networks. Participants meet in Berlin for regular weekend seminars and online for video conferences. Follow-up activities offered to alumni of the seminar program include annual alumni gatherings, workshops on specific topics, individual advice and support with networking and skills development.
The language spoken in the context of MPs 2030 activities is German. If you are interested in participating, please find more information about the application here.
The project “Empowered for Civic Engagement” is supported by the Ministry of the Interior and Community of Germany and the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF) of the European Union (EU).
It is implemented by IMPACT − Civil Society Research and Development e.V., a non-profit civil society organization founded in 2013 and based in Berlin. The support of civil society is the core of our mission. The organization serves as a catalyst for cooperation among civil society actors in Syria and in the diaspora. We promote the exchange of experience and ideas among local civil society actors and their international partners. We offer support to civil society actors and activists using a community-based and holistic approach that includes assessment, research, training, long-term coaching and financial support.
